We travel back in time 2000 years with our new line of MyKal microcement, inspired by the ancestral Moroccan tadelakt coating technique. With a similar finish, but with improved properties, our microcement creates spaces with a distinguished aesthetic, elegant, and a natural appearance.
That is why at MyRevest we go a step further, we maintain the original and artistic decorative finish of the tadelakt and reinvent our microcement to create a material with greater chemical and mechanical resistance, as well as better workability and a reduced environmental impact. Qualities contained in a lightweight material of only 3 mm thick, which allows us to apply it both on floors and walls.
We find a coating with great decorative potential in our tadelakt microcement. Creativity will be your great ally to finally create exotic rooms that shine with their own essence.
We present the MyKal XL line, our innovative multifunctional microcement which can be used both as a preparation coating as well as a finish one.
This lime-based mortar, of a two-component nature, gives us the freedom to apply it on both floors and non-pedestrian surfaces, in outdoor and indoor spaces.
This is due to the hardness of our micro-cement, since we have a robust and uniquely resistant material capable of withstanding all kinds of factors.
It represents the greatest grain size within our MyKal micro-cement, a feature that makes its use intended as a base material, but with the possibility of being used as a finish to create a more rustic effect.

The uniqueness of MyKal microcement showcases a material of great artistic value that gives the professional the ability to create splendid rooms with their own personality. A material that stands out wherever you look at it, the definitive fusion between art and coating, where both its artistic and functional qualities make it an unparalleled microcement.
Its great adherence makes it a material capable of adapting to all kinds of surfaces or materials. It can be applied both indoors and outdoors, as well as on vertical and horizontal supports. It also has no restrictions for working on all kinds of materials, applying it directly on them without having to remove them: plasterboard, cement, plaster, tile, brick, metal, concrete, drywall, etc.
One of its most prominent and unique features. The fresco on fresco technique will allow us to obtain results with a different decorative effect. A third layer of microcement must be applied when the second one stops having "tack".
Spacious and infinite spaces when creating surfaces free of joints and with a great resistance over time, which will prevent the generation of possible cracks or contractions in the microcement.
MyKal microcement presents a material that, despite having an appearance similar to tadelakt, its properties in terms of resistance are much higher. This coating is resistant to compression, abrasion, wear from foot traffic, impacts and scratches, temperature changes and UV light.
A coating with a great decorative capacity thanks to its extensive color palette, as well as the ability to go over its finishes, which allows obtaining different textures and final effects.
Its innovative formula based on lime allows us to launch a more sustainable coating with less environmental impact.
MyResin is our water-based acrylic resin that constitutes component B for the MyKal line and other microcements. Its application guarantees greater stability and substrate penetration, which generates more reliable results.
To apply it, the following steps must be followed to the letter to ensure a successful application:
Something obvious, but fundamental. We must accurately calculate the quantities of both resin and microcement that will be used. In this way, we ensure that the results are as effective as possible. Therefore, in the first place, what we will do is pour the resin into a measuring container.
We mix a measured portion of the resin with the pigment, so that we obtain a uniform result that gets the maximum yield from the dye.
In this last step, we pour the microcement powder into the bucket and begin to stir until we have obtained a homogeneous result without lumps.
Next we show you the measures to be considered to get a successful mix:
The application of MyKal tadelakt microcement will not be the same on all substrates. Its properties mean that one must act differently when working on walls or floors. Below we will show you both processes as well as their different steps to follow.
1Surface tuning.
A proper terrain adjustment must be made to ensure that it is free from imperfections such as dust, grease and moisture. We will also ensure that it is in optimal planimetry conditions.
2Primer application
To ensure the correct application of microcement on the surface, it is previously passed by performing the floor priming, which will be carried out with the corresponding product depending on the floor that is treated: MyPrimer 100, MyPrimer 200 and MyPoxy.
3Application of the flexible fiber mesh
In order to avoid cracks or fissures, the flexible fiber mesh MyMesh should be applied to the microcement beforehand.
4Mix MyKal mortar with MyResin resin.
In order to avoid cracks or fissures, the flexible fiber mesh MyMesh should be applied to the microcement beforehand.
5Apply 2 layers of MyKal XL/L microcement
We will apply 2 coats of MyKal XL or L microcement, depending on the effect and finish we want to achieve. This application will be done with a metal trowel and you should wait for 4 hours drying time between each coat, as well as sanding with 40 grit.
6Apply 1 layer of MyKal XL/L/M microcement
We finish the coating after applying a coat of MyKal microcement. We will choose between the sizes XL, L and M, based on the desired finish. Afterwards, we let it dry for 4 hours and then sand with 40 grit sandpaper.
7Seal with 2 layers of MyCover and 2 layers of MySealant 2K
After 24 - 48 hours, we will proceed to seal the flooring. We will apply 2 coats of MyCover varnish, leaving 4 hours between each coat; and another 2 coats of MySealant 2K varnish, leaving 8-24 hours between coats.
1Clean floor and prepare levels and slopes.
We prepare the surface of the wall to leave it free of any element that may affect the performance of the application, such as grease, dust, etc.
2Apply the priming promoter
Depending on the wall we are working with, we will use different types of primers that guarantee the correct functioning of the microcement, providing greater stability and strength. The choice would be between: MyPoxi, MyPrimer 200 and MyPrimer 100.
3We pour MyResin into the mortar
We previously check the proportions in the technical sheet and proceed to add MyResin resin in a container. We pigment until we finally obtain a homogeneous finish. Once done, we incorporate the mortar and mix at low revolutions for at least 4 minutes.
4We add 2 coats of microcement MyKal XL/L
Depending on the result we want to obtain, we choose between the micro cements XL or L and apply 2 coats leaving 4 hours to dry between each one and sanding with 40-grit sandpaper.
5We add 1 coat of microcement MyKal XL/L/M/S
Again, depending on the finish we want to achieve, we will choose between the MyKal XL/L/M or S micro cements. In this case, only one layer will be applied and sanded with 40-grit sandpaper to finish.
6We seal with 2 coats of MyCover and 2 coats of MySealant 2K
We let the surface rest for 24-48 hours and proceed to seal the wall with 2 coats of the MyCover varnish. We let it dry 4 hours between each coat. Next, we apply 2 coats of the MySealant 2K varnish. In this case, we will leave an interval of 8-24 hours between coats.
With our line of MyKal microcement, creative limits go away to make room for a wide range of up to 34 colors that will allow us to make endless combinations and get authentic results. This variety of colors can increase up to 68 if the product is reviewed with a trowel.
Beautiful and resistant surfaces with a long service life, that make each room look like a high decoration space.
In order for you to get a more approximate idea of our colors and their variations, we have created a digital simulation where our entire MyRevest color catalog is perfectly displayed. On the left, the original microcement is observed, and on the right, after it has been reviewed.
If you want a custom color, there is also the possibility of using our pigmented pastes in order to achieve the desired color.
A coating of great antiquity and originally from Morocco, composed of various limes. It stands out for creating spaces with natural finishes and great impermeability. Its use is mainly directed at walls, but can be applied to floors, facades, furniture, indoor and outdoor areas.
Its origin dates back 2000 years, in Marrakech. The word tadelakt comes from "dalaka" which means "to massage, rub or polish" and one of the reasons for its creation, was the need to protect the walls of the hammams. It was also used in basins or riads and to create ceramic vessels.
For tadelakt to remain one of the most special and useful coatings today after thousands of years, it is because its benefits are significantly superior to the vast majority of materials. Among the most striking advantages are:
First phase of primer
A layer of primer for better adhesion of the tadelakt to the new support.
Dampen the surface
We proceed to lightly dampen the support with water.
Application of 2 layers of tadelakt
We should, first of all, apply a first layer of tadelakt on the surface. We let it dry overnight, make sure it's dry, and apply the second layer, ensuring it is thicker than the previous one. Again, it is allowed to dry.
Final layer of wax for waterproofing
Essential at the end of the process is to proceed with a final layer of wax, with this we will ensure that the coating solidifies and achieves the waterproof finish that is so highly prized.
This microcement enjoys naturally very minimal shrinkage, however, if we make use of the mesh for floors, we ensure total success guarantees.
Its fantastic properties make it ideal for any type of environment. It has no limits, as its use is for outdoor areas, interior spaces, facades, ceilings, walls, floors, furniture, etc.
To calculate the final price of the m2 of tadelakt, it is necessary to have a series of factors in mind that will directly affect the cost.
In the event that the surface to be applied is not in an optimal state, it will need to be repaired in order to leave it in perfect condition, which will influence the final price.
The dimensions of the support to be coated directly affect the amount.
Logically, if the product is of higher quality and will guarantee better results, the price will be higher.
One of the factors that most sway the final price, as each app has a different rate for the m2.
Depending on the desired finish, the price will increase or decrease. This is due to whether it requires more or less work, such as adding more layers of material or performing certain procedures that might increase the cost of the coating.
In order to improve its chemical resistance, it is recommended to apply a sealer or varnish for protection. As such, we will apply two layers of MyCover, followed by another two of MySealant 2K.
Negative. Although it is true that grain sizes XL, L, and M can be used for both surfaces, S grain cannot be applied to the floor, only walls or other non-walkable surfaces.
The choice of primer will vary depending on the desired outcome. Nonetheless, in general, we always recommend choosing between MyPrimer 100 and MyPrimer 200. In the case that the base is located in a place with high humidity, we advise using MyPoxy.
MyKal line includes 34 colors, 68 if you double-check, but if you still can't find the exact color you need, you also have the option to achieve your desired color by mixing different pigments or using our MyColour pastes.
