The range of varnishes from MyRevest offers multiple sealing options and guarantees the quality of the finishes. In addition to highlighting the effects of microcement, it protects the coating from any liquid that spills over it.
The varnish increases mechanical resistances and prevents damage to the coating due to sunlight, humidity, dirt, or chemical substances.
If the goal is to protect the microcement, this line of sealants is the solution. They protect, waterproof and enhance the renewed look of the surface.
It is a water-based acrylic resin that acts as
a pre-sealing primer to facilitate the bond between
the microcement and the MySealant 2K sealer.
It is a product that is stable on surfaces in contact
with water.
It is the recommended varnish to protect microcement coatings in wet areas (except swimming pools) such as bathrooms.
A water-based two-component polyurethane varnish with very high chemical resistances. Its good performance also applies to outdoor spaces.
It is a two-component polyurethane sealant solvent-based specialized in protecting surfaces coated with microcement both outdoors and indoors.
Varnish that allows to preserve the material in optimum conditions providing great resistance and enhancing the colors of the support.
It is the water-based polyurethane varnish monocomponent that protects the ready-to-use microcements and epoxy microcements.
Few products can demonstrate such high alkali tolerance. This makes it a specialized varnish to apply on surfaces that are in damp environments.
1
The choice of the right roller is the first step to achieve a professional application with perfect finishes. To seal and protect the microcement, it is advisable to use a 4 mm microfiber or polyester fiber roller. In this way a soft finish is achieved without excess load of material. Choosing the roller with the indicated thickness allows to take full advantage of the varnish and obtain a sealing that facilitates the cleaning tasks of the coating.
2
To ensure a correct application of the varnish, it is essential to respect the drying time of the last layer of microcement. In this way the applicator ensures that there are no negative dampness on the support.
3
Before applying the polyurethane varnish, the support has to be free of dampness. To do this, the recommended drying times in the technical sheets must be respected. In the case of MyCover, which is an acrylic resin used before applying MySealant 2K, it would be necessary to let it dry for up to 24 hours.
4
It will be necessary to respect the 12 hours of drying between the two coats of varnish that are applied, although you have to take into account the climatic, thermal and humidity conditions.
You cannot apply the second coat ahead of time, since it does not allow the first hand to breathe and the surface of microcement would take more time to take on its properties.
If drying times between coats are not respected, the consequences will soon be detected. The fall of any liquid on the microcement coating would leave marks on the surface.
